Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan - Ballad of the Broken Seas
Recently re-released on what would have been Lanegan's 60th, this first full-length collaboration is well worth seeking out.
Campbell mostly wrote the album with Lanegan in mind, and their sweet/rough contrast makes the album work pretty damn well.
Here's hoping the others gets re-released too…
#NowSpinning #TheBalladOfTheBrokenSeas by #IsobelCampbell & #MarkLanegan.
This is such a great album, Deus Ibi Est is the perfect opening, the titular track, & a sleazed up adaptation of Ramblin’ Man.
The pressing is bob on.
