To round the weekend off, I finally introduced my group to Obsession, and they introduced me to The White Castle and Between Two Castles (loved the dueling cooperations with BTC and loved TWC’s action chaining)!

Also, I introduced my partner to roll/flip and writes for the first time with #IsleOfCats: Explore & Draw. We had a great time drawing very amateurish cats! Next time: map making with Cartographers (and then Rolling Realms)

Second #BoardGame night with my sister. We all played a 4 player game of #IsleOfCats which was new to all of us. I got a win by a single point and I really loved this #game, especially the drafting which I didn't know it included.

After everyone else went to bed, I taught her #Globetrotting. We played twice, each taking a win.

I've finally played all the modules in Kittens + Beasts.

Kittens - A good addition that add incentive to be first

Beasts - I found this to be kinda meh. I didn't like that you can only get beasts on the first day which makes it really easy to just skip the whole module.

Events - I really enjoyed this module. The events really add additional layers of strategy and time sensitive ways to score points.

I just got the Kittens + Beasts Expansion for Isle of Cats and played the Kitten module. The small size of the kittens and being able to rescue two for one basket makes it easier to fill out those smaller spaces that used to require treasures. It definitely adds incentive to be first for the round.

Monday we played Race to the Raft, Little Town, and Las Vegas Boulevard.

Race to Raft is a tricky, quick playing co op game with those same cats from #IsleofCats. It's intriguing and we'll definitely be playing more of it.

Little towns was a big surprise for us. There are a lot of strategic possibilities crammed into this easy to learn and play package. Players are constantly giving each other things, which make for an inviting experience. It takes some of the sting out of the groans that inevitably occur on worker placement games.

Las Vegas Boulevard is always a fun little Dice roller. #Yahtzee fans will appreciate my double large straight I rolled to open the game.

I don't like choosing favorites. It's hard to remember every contender, and I have trouble deciding between such diverse options even when all conditions are optimal.

That said, some of the ones I'm loving these days are, in no particular order; #FirstRat, #TerraformingMars (with divoted boards of course), #SoClover, #IsleOfCats (with all expansions), and for some reason I keep going back to #10DaysInTheUSA for a gateway when teaching newbies.
