I did not see the 1997 version of #IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer. I shan't get to see this apparent reboot, https://www.smh.com.au/culture/movies/how-sydney-helped-bring-a-90s-slasher-franchise-back-from-the-dead-20250708-p5mdg9.html. However, i cannot hear of either one without instantly confusing it with a b&w slasher thriller from my childhood... #ISawWhatYouDid, though i seem to recall it on tv in Straya in the late 60s titled by the full quote, #ISawWhatYouDidAndIKnowWhoYouAre . As a ~9 or 10 y/o i found it exquisitely creepy & scary, indeed my entire association ever after of John Ireland in every other role, was seeing him as this crazed killer here.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Ignore the reviews, this cult classic reboot is so much fun

It was definitely worth Jennifer Love Hewitt coming out of retirement.
