Training with the halter has just been introduced to walks. Not clipped to the lead, though.
Later stage halter training. This is his regular evening treat, a basted cow ear.
He now gets all his feeds and treats with the halter on. I've also introduced it for free runs.
These are all very high value activities for dog, this helps him to associate the halter with the Good Times™. And makes it easier to work with later in his training.
Note: I have not worked him anywhere with it clipped on to a lead.

Puppy training: hoovering
Short version> Drop treats as you hoover. Job done.
There are actually more steps than this, but it's the take away headline. The first time you introduce anything new, especially if it's noisy, start with the dog well away from it (another room for hoovers). Have someone give them treats while the noise is happening. Stop when it stops. You can then bring them closer over the space of several sessions.
