Also if you guys wounder: Yes the #Iridium9505 is the the Satellite Phone from #LordOfWar... (Tho obviously not the exact one I have!)

  • Obviously they didn't set it up properly for dramatic purposes since without an external antenna connected, it won't work inside a plane, as #Iridium requires direct line-of-sight to the used satellites, necessitating an unobstructed horizon of 8,2° elevation. And yes details like this do annoy me...

Granted, #Iridium knows how to write proper documentation and I did expect the "Developers' Guide" for their 9603 SBD Transciever to be NDA'd so hard I'd be subjected to a Polygraph test before being allowed to look at it.

Or if anyone is able and willing to just multimeter their charger so I know which pins are 6V-ish & GND that would solve the problem...

Let's see if #Motorola feels inclined to sell me a friggin' #charger...

#Iridium #Iridium9505

And yes, I've contacted the local "Iridium Service Provider/ -Distributor" already and they don't have any in stock.

  • I do hope to get some details from #Iridium themselves, as I've contact them as well.

All I need is the pinout cuz then I could worst-case get something made with pogo pins and stuff to hookup power.

 #PleaseBoost:

Does anyone have a #Motorola #Iridium9505 (not #9505A / 9555 / 9575(A)(PTT)) charger / charging cradle / dock / serial adapter or can give me the #Pinouts for said #connector?

  • Kinda need to charge one, ideally without having to remove the battery (which is at least tool-free accessible!) and hooking it up to a benchtop power supply for CV/CC-charging...
