Official news agencies in Iran announced the execution of Abbas Akbari on Monday morning, calling him the “armed leader of the December coup.”
Mizan News Agency, the official media outlet of Iran’s judiciary, wrote on Monday morning, June 25: “Abbas Akbari Feyzabadi was one of the armed leaders of the riots in Na’in County, Isfahan, who played an important role in the attack on the county governor’s office and security centers, as well as service centers.”
Mohammad Abbasi, one of the rioters of January 8-9 was executed in Qazal-Hesar prison earlier this week.
Abbas was accused of organizing and leading a group of young people, including his 25yo daughter to attack a police station that led to murder of Colonel Shahin Dehghani with multiple knife attacks and looting of the police station.
His crimes were "rioting by the order of US and Israel and destruction of property of individuals and government buildings as well as looting government buildings, including a police station.
He is the 14th person killed by IRI since the bloody riots across Iran on January 8th and 9th. The riots led to over 3000 deaths, mostly rioters but also 500+ police and security forces (government numbers).
Opposition groups claim the numbers were 80k, 60k, 55k or 42k that Trump and US officials repeatedly mention.
Opposition groups have not released more than 200 names since the riots.

He is one of the 4 people, accused of armed resistance against Iranian government, membership in Ansarollah separatist group and "work with zionist regime".
#AmirAli_MirJafari, one of the rioters arrested during the January riots, was executed today, Tuesday, April 23rd.
He was part of the group who attacked a police station in Ilam followed by looting of the station and brutal murder of all those inside.
