‘After the Cluster Has Opened, It’s Too Late’: Israeli Expert Says of Iran’s Cluster Warheads

Dr. Uzi Rubin tells TML that stopping missiles at high altitude remains the only effective defense once submunitions are released “After the cluster has opened, it’s too late,” Dr. Uzi Rubin, one of Israel’s leading missile defense experts, told The Media Line. During the war, Iranian missile crews started to pump the liquid propellant missiles with fuel inside the underground bases, in order to avoid having to fuel them outside, which takes several hours

Pumping fuel into the missiles while laying horizontally, rather than vertically, is an extremely dangerous and precise task which requires significant expertise. Even then, it carries an elevated risk of explosion.

The technique has allowed Iranian missile crews to quickly fire and return to their tunnels, preserving launchers from destruction.

Military enthousiast from Iran says:

“I personally witnessed them bombing an Iranian missile base, and 2 hours later, Iran launched a missile from the very same place… That's when I realized that America has lost this war.”

Unconfirmed reports from Iran:

IRI have fixed the entrance of at least 30% of the bombed entries to the underground missile sites.

Less than half of Iran's missiles were used or damaged by the US/Israeli attacks and Iran still has 1000s of ballistic missiles and 10s of thousand of drones.

An Israeli television channel reported on Tuesday evening that Israel has begun using air defence systems not originally designed to intercept Iranian missiles, amid growing challenges to its interception capabilities.

Before IRGC channels were blocked in France, I was able to read discussions in the groups (I became member long time ago and was very silent), they were talking about the 3rd phase of the war when IRIGC would start using the latest generation of the missiles, including the hypersonic "gliding" units that were hidden in various locations outside the normal "missiles cities" to be used for the "last blow" on US and Israel.

It will be very interesting to see when they start using them and what targets they chose to attack.
