Yesterday, on the eve of the Iranian New Year (Nowruz), the Islamic Republic hanged five teenagers who had been detained during the January protests in the cities of Qom and Ilam. Today, 18-year-old Melika Azizi from the city of Rasht, who was arrested for burning regime symbols during the protests, faces imminent execution in Rasht prison on the charge of Moharebeh (waging war against Allah).

@charlesdelavalleepoussin @netblocks you are wrong about this one. The internet shutdown is imposed by the government. This has nothing to do with the current war. Iran’s islamic republic has a long history of shutting down all means of communication as soon as things get politically dicey. During and after the #IranMassacre in January 2026, another prolonged shutdown, there was no war but one: the people vs the islamic republic. Same in 2023, and every other time.

Video Shows U.S. Missile Struck Iranian Girls’ School, Killing 175, Contradicting Trump’s Denials

The Iranian Red Crescent Society reports that 10,000 civilian structures have been damaged across Iran in U.S. and Israeli strikes, including homes, schools and almost three dozen medical facilities. Among the dead are 175 people — most of them children — killed when bombs struck a girls’ school in the southern city of Minab on the first day of the U.S.-Israeli attacks. On Saturday, President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth denied the U.S. was responsible for bombing the girls’ school. They spoke to reporters aboard Air Force One. Reporter: “Did the United States bomb a girls’ elementary school in southern Iran on the first day of the war and kill 175 people?” President Donald Trump: “No, in my opinion, based on what I’ve seen, that was done by Iran.” Reporter: “Is that true, Mr. Hegseth, that it was Iran who did that?” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth: “We’re certainly investigating.” Reporter: “Still investigating?” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth: “But the only — the only side that targets civilians is Iran.” President Donald Trump: “We think it was done — we think it was done by Iran.” A New York Times investigation found direct video evidence contradicting Trump’s claims. The video shows a U.S. Tomahawk missile damaged the school at the same time as a U.S. attack on an adjacent naval base operated by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps.

Dzień po tym, jak irańskie drony zmusiły największą rafinerię w Arabii Saudyjskiej do wstrzymania pracy, przyszła kolej na kolejne cele. We wtorek rano doniesienia napłynęły z dwóch kierunków jednocześnie – pożar w kluczowym porcie naftowym Fudżajra w Zjednoczonych Emiratach Arabskich oraz prawdopodobne uderzenie w infrastrukturę energetyczną w omańskim porcie Salalah. U.S. and Israel Launch Joint Attack on Iran, Killing Supreme Leader and Hundreds of Civilians

The Iranian Red Crescent Society says more than 550 people have been killed since the U.S. and Israel launched a full-scale military assault on Iran early on Saturday. The unprovoked attack prompted Iran to launch missiles across the Middle East, targeting Israel and Gulf Arab nations. The joint U.S. and Israeli war on Iran began with a daytime assault on the high-security compound of Ali Khamenei, Iran’s 86-year-old supreme leader. He was killed in the attack, along with his daughter and granddaughter, Iran’s defense minister, the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the chief of staff of Iran’s armed forces, senior intelligence officials and other Iranian leaders. Scores of civilians have also been killed. In southern Iran, a missile struck a girls’ elementary school in the city of Minab, killing 165 people. Nearly 100 others were injured. Video of the aftermath shows rescuers searching through twisted concrete and rubble strewn with textbooks and backpacks, as screams are heard in the background. First responder “As we entered the school, we saw the body of a teacher that had been cut in half. And as you can see, we are still clearing the debris, and even now body parts are still coming out.” In another strike, 18 people — most of them children — were killed in Lamerd, in southern Iran, when a missile struck residences and a gymnasium. About 100 people were wounded in that attack.
