Quelques jours seulement après l’annonce en fanfare de « #EuroOffice » par #Nextcloud, @xwiki et #IONOS, la réaction de l’éditeur #Onlyoffice ne s’est pas fait attendre. Dans une déclaration publiée ce 30 mars 2026, l’entreprise dénonce une utilisation illégale de sa technologie et pointe du doigt des violations flagrantes des termes de sa licence open source.

Letzte Woche hat #Nextcloud bekanntgegeben, zusammen mit #Ionos OnlyOffice geforkt zu haben, um die neue Alternative "Euro-Office" zu schaffen. Nun antwortet #OnlyOffice und behauptet, der Fork würde gegen Lizenzbedingungen verstoßen, weil #EuroOffice einen eigenen Namen und Logo verwendet, und damit das orig. Projekt nicht lizenzkonform attribuiert. Da scheint ja nun doch ein klarer "Wille" erkennbar, endlich mal eine EU-weit akzeptierte, in Clouds integrierbare #Office-Lösung für Amtsstuben, Unternehmen und Privatmenschen zu etablieren. Erkennbar daran, dass namhafte europäische Cloudanbieter oder Cloudprodukte wie #IONOS, #Nextcloud oder #Proton hinter dem Projekt stehen, was wohl hoffentlich auch bedeutet, dass diese es dann anbieten / implementieren werden. Was mich ebenfalls freut, ist, dass man dabei auf #OnlyOffice zurückgreift. Das ist ein leistungsfähiges, bewährtes Editor-Paket mit Textverarbeitung, Tabellenkalkulation und Präsentationsmodul, auch web-basiert, flott und schlank, kommt bestens mit M$-Office-Formaten zurecht, aber arbeitet primär mit dem offenen #ODF.
