I love my #Hyundai #Ioniq5 but not the hyperactive parking sensors, which go from bong-bong-bong to solid beep when you're still a foot away from something. Add a gargantuan turning circle, and a lot of the time you just end up ignoring them.
Anyway, there was this wheely bin... a below walking pace nudge as I was inching forwards. The bin didn't even move. Which is why the chrome and black strips that run the full width of the front of the car now have a crack down them.
Afterwards, driving in rain and darkness, I thought the car sounded like it was throwing up more water than usual. Finally yesterday we had a day with no rain and I could lie on the ground.
The entire front edge of the undertray was hanging down, secured by one plastic stud. Easy enough fix with a few nuts, bolts and penny washers, and well done Hyundai for cutting access holes to make that easier. But a part that's inevitably going to get nudged, held on by bits that drop off when breathed upon? Not so good.
