He is the working proof of concept for the team I'm going to be presenting to this week. The concept is using generative AI to act as a teacher/instructor. The idea is to be taught about subjects by significant historical figures related to that subject, in this case being taught machine learning concepts by the Father of Computing himself.
Methods of engagement include both virtual reality/mixed reality interactions with a 3D avatar generated in a virtual space that is able to not only communicate in voice and text, but also through non-verbal cues such as facial expressions and physical gestures. If one lacks a virtual environment such as VR or whatever, they can still interact in text, or by using a microphone to communicate directly with the model in real time, creating a much deeper sense of immersion and engagement, which then provides a more enjoyable and effective learning environment.
I've chosen InworldAI as the starting point base to develop a proof of concept because it features everything needed. From GPT4 as it's language model base, to the video generative models that it's using to build the visual engagements, though I can't really do much with that until I get a 3D model of our subject here.
Still, as he is now, you can engage Mr. Turing on a wide variety of topics pertaining to the study of computers and computational theory, AI development and theory and the different facets of the different types of machine learning techniques used in building and training AI.
He'll also talk to you about some philosophy too if he likes you enough.
At present, I'm testing this demo with one of their standard voices, though the system does allow for ElevenLabs API integration, which though I've enabled for
trial runs, I won't leave active as I'm not paying for the character usage.
