Stop Elon Musk From Buying Elections
Elon Musk is once again trying to buy an election. This time, it's a state Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin, and he’s doing it with cold, hard cash. Just days before voters head to the polls, Musk's PAC plans to award $1 million each to two Wisconsin voters. His goal? Tipping the scales in favor of the Trump-backed candidate, Brad Schimel. This isn’t just unethical. It’s almost certainly criminal. Under Wisconsin law, it’s a felony to offer or give anything of value to induce someone to vote or not vote. Musk’s electric car company, Tesla, has a lawsuit that could soon be heard by this very court. His $1 million "lottery" could directly impact a case where he has a financial stake. And yet, while Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul sued in an attempt to stop it from happening, he hasn't launched a criminal investigation with the intention to prosecute for what’s already happened. At least, not yet. What is he waiting for? If he doesn’t act now, this won’t just be one corrupt election. It’ll be the new blueprint for every race to come.
