Steht der Staudenknöterich etwa unter besonderem Schutz? Jedenfalls wird hier auf eine Verordnung der EU verwiesen. Allerdings ohne sie explizit zu nennen. Seltsam. 🤔

There's a really cute video of a person (FROM SOUTH KOREA) taking care of an Asian Hornet and dumb Americans and Europeans are like "don't you know they're invasive" "you killed your ecosystem". I am convinced these people don't understand that invasive species have ranges that they are native to, ATP it's just buzzword to justify killing animals they don't like (I mean the casual use of the word by non-scientists)

I can't believe it's taken me most of the day to write two small paragraphs about #screwworms and #WaterHyacinth, two #InvasiveSpecies plaguing the #LowerRioGrandeValley. Well, I also went to grab two map folders for digitization.
Doing more #InvasiveSpecies "research" since the #screwworm and #WaterHyacinth are back in local news. This was my first research guide for special collections and archives. Think I'll write my additional little paragraphs and clean out my computer.
