Today is Intersex Awareness Day, a day to highlight experiences, pride, and identity of intersex people.
Intersex people are born with sex characteristics that don’t fit typical binary definitions, which shouldn't be subject to invasive, unnecessary and unconsenting surgical treatment.
FUR/HELP stood and continues to stand with Intersex people.
Each body is beautiful and is undeniably yours.
Today is Intersex Awareness Day. October 26 marks the anniversary of the first demonstration by intersex people in North America in 1996. Intersex Awareness Day aims to gain recognition and support for intersex people in their right to live authentically and unapologetically.

Blume is fabulous. Spreading the word about the fact that intersex people exist. Estimates vary between 1% and 2% globally. If it’s 1% that’s close to 80 million people.
Another stat that often quoted is that there are more intersex people than there are people with ginger hair. I’ve never seen any data to corroborate that. It may be true. I don’t know.

I finished the audiobook edition of Inverse Cowgirl by Alicia Roth Weigel. It has joined the recent James Blunt sorta memoir on my favourite books of 2024 list. The year is off to a good start.
I'm so glad that the YouTube algorithm fed me ARWs appearance on the CBS Mornings show. This led me to the book. I'm a better person for reading it. So will you be. Highly recommended.
Got leaky eyeballs at the chapter in Inverse Cowgirl where Alicia Roth Weigel came out as intersex in testimony to the Texas Senate when opposing the asinine “bathroom bill”.
