I bit of self reflection on Martin Luther King Day.

I've believed that ACAB and BLM pretty much as soon as these slogans became known to me. However, my support was rather... I'm not sure how to put it... maybe impersonal. Yes, I supported the people manifesting, but I did not have a personal stake in the fight.

(If you criticize this as short-sighted, I'd agree.)

After the divorce from my ex-wife, ACAB and BLM have become personal, because I now have more black partners and exes than white partners and exes. (I'm white myself.) I do have a personal stake in this fight now.
