I was a #VisualArts major in college. Actually, a double-major—but that's a story for another day.

My final Senior studio #art project was a set of 3D painted/sculpted presentations of hydrogenic wavefunctions for some elements of the periodic table. With color-coded energies and other features.

Sadly, I do not have any photos of them. For one thing, photos couldn't do them justice. They were, collectively, a big installation, demanding a wide shot; but each one had fine detail that you'd have to get close to, to appreciate.

For another thing, the gallery, in which they were displayed, printed a related brochure (my copy is now in storage along with pieces of the artwork). I figured that brochure was sufficient by itself, as a kind of image and record on paper.

Also, in all honesty, it was a challenging project and I felt VERY burned out at the time. I wasn't in the mood to think deeply about saving any pictures or documentation. By the end, I could not exactly think straight!

Just was following an extremely interesting presentation of one of our group's PhD students' projects, titled:
“Mining of the rhizosphere microbiome for potato late blight resistance” by Lihong Yan.

I cannot share too much but very interesting results are to come, that will change the way we think about phytopathology and resistance breeding. I will share Lhong We really should work more interdiciplinarily in plant breeding (and agronomy in general). Plants arent isolated units in an ecosystem. It's all connected an so should be different scientific disciplines.
