The arches and flow of this interchange always fascinate me. The tall lights sometimes remind me of the end of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Dark misty mornings are really photogenic. The other morning, it all came together.

This actual Takaosan Interchange in Tokyo is so intricate that it almost looks fake. It connects multiple highways & local roads, giving it a maze-like appearance.

The various entry/exit points seems confusing for drivers, but many claim it only requires a bit preparation to navigate.

I’m not a fan of current governments blaming prior governments for problems, but in the case of the new #Rozelle #interchange, this quote form the prior government really beggars belief:

“#Coalition roads spokeswoman Natalie Ward said commuters wanted solutions to the botched opening of the interchange, and not more excuses from the government.”

She must think the regular punter is a total buffoon if they’re going to eat that one.
