I’m reading Mary Anne Franks, “The Cult of the Constitution,” and she’s making me rethink everything I’ve ever really thought about free speech. (I grew up while the Nazis were marching in Skokie.) It’s not a hard book to read, but it is hard to process a new way of thinking, so I read a few pages, put it down, reflect, do something else, and after a while come back to it.
