Eine Meldeneule (Trachea atriciplis), die beinahe unter der Schutzhaube gefangen worden wäre, die ich über die Wäschespinne stülpen wollte. Erst im letzten Moment entdeckte ich das seltsame Etwas ganz unten an der Stange. Das Tier wurde ins nahe Gebüsch verfrachtet.

🇫🇷 Coïncidence ou bien s'agit-il de la même abeille qu'il y a une dizaine de jour? Quoi qu'il en soit, elle semblait aussi avoir la fringale! Elle était entrée dans l'appartement cet après-midi et je lui avais rendu la liberté mais j'ai constaté qu'elle restait sur le rebord de l'appui de fenêtre. J'ai donc réédité le coup du miel. 🙂 Et de nouveau, elle est repartie après s'être nourrie de miel... Je ne crois pas aux coïncidence!

🇬🇧 Coincidence or is it the same bee as ten days ago? Anyway, she seemed to have hunger too! She entered the apartment this afternoon and I released her but I noticed that she remained on the window sill. So I did again the honey trick. 🙂 And again she left after having eaten some honey... I don't believe in coincidences!

In einem tiefen Spalt einer alten Straßenlinde in der Nachbarschaft hatte sich ein Honigbienenvolk eingenistet. Aus zunächst ganz wenigen Bienen wurden schnell sehr viele. Sie blieben allerdings nur einen Sommer lang.

Went out to touch grass today and found a friend outside. I don't think I had ever noticed just how iridescent they were before! Seems like they are waking up so we'll have ourselves the constant thrum back again - soundtrack of the summer ✨

It was during my first week with this new, fully manual camera ; I was still struggling to master it, trying to get the focus and exposure right. I wandered into the local exhibition space in an old chapel, hoping to get an indoor shot. Some cool, predictably alternative art students were standing nearby, talking and nodding, while one of them (the artist?) explained their vision about moth. I felt self-conscious and uncool while I tried to adjust my settings. I managed to take a photo and slip out. I was happy that the photo, at least, turned out well.
