A bit about me if you're new seeing this: I'm not an artist. I'm a new-ish transgender #VTuber. I only really picked up drawing about four months ago. I'm doing this on #Linux and using #Inochi2D and #InochiCreator instead of 2DCubism to make my avatar.
I have almost no idea what I'm doing.

verdroi'm making the model in #inochi2d. in fact, it wouldn't be possible without inochi since live2d put copy and pasting behind a very tall paywall.

Also! Series of updates from me today. 2D Cubism keeps giving me that Java.exe error. It hates wine, I get it, you dislike being forced to work on Linux. Normally this would spell doom for the avatar process BUT!
In my frustrated searches for an answer, or a lick of code I could frankenstein to work, I found the glory of https://inochi2d.com/ which is currently being made by https://bsky.app/profile/lunafoxgirlvt.foxgirls.gay . So instead of crying myself to sleep tonight, I'm going to read through the Wiki and on stream tomorrow we'll mess around and hopefully turn the prototype into a functioning Vtube avatar ... or start to ...
For a brief explanation, it does what 2DCubism does with avatars, and they apparently work with VTube studio. And it works on linux ... via flatpak ... so I'm not needing to dust off my software degree AT ALL.
