Good Morning #Canada
This past weekend my wife and I went looking for a small independent #Grocery store in the #Innisfil area where we could buy fruits and vegetables, similar to what we had access to in #Caledon. Unfortunately we only have the big grocery chains nearby, Sobey's and Metro, until the farmer's markets start opening in June. As we discovered our limited options, I was reminded of this Marit Stiles' video on food prices.

We're relatively recent inhabitants in our #Innisfil neighborhood so the local flooding is new to us. Our neighbours tell us that the level of Lake Simcoe is much higher than normal and low properties along the shore are under a foot of water. We're on slightly higher ground and luckily dry but just a few blocks south some lots are also flooded, including my brother's cottage.

What a beautiful day! Slightly overcast and 14°C, and when the sun peeks out it finally feels like #Spring.
Harley and I completed a 4.7 km hike with a stop at our community beach. She splashed into the shallow water to chase some ducks, who were rightfully indignant.
Lake Simcoe is still almost completely ice covered and dangerous to walk on, but soon it will be swimming season.

No outage in #Innisfil and roads are wet with no snow or ice. So far all the exciting stuff is happening north in Barrie and beyond.

Just got back from driving family to the GO Station for their train to Toronto. Horrible driving conditions with whiteouts and snow covered roads. Stay home Ontarians. Sorry, no video reporting as my hands were clamped to the steering wheel.

Don't drive unless you really really have to, and then don't drive anyway.
