I've been seeing a lot more people on skates around town this summer so I decided to freshen up my in-lines with new bearings and wheels.
Went for maybe three quarters of an hour. Tried to do some of the stuff I saw on videos last night (lemon drops, foot-drag braking, standing with feet in a V in order to not go anywhere).
Took a while to get anywhere at all with lemon drops. Sorta got foot-dragging braking to work, but most of the time it also turned me around and once my braking foot kind of went off on its own. The V parking brake thing was fine, though.
Then I went around the parking lot listening to Eurodance and similar and had a good time. The other stuff will come in time, I'll practise it a bit before sessions. But at this stage I think I feel confident enough to go for a skate around the park. Hopefully the weather's nice on the weekend!
