Seriously kind of reeling at how precisely s14 keeps striking the *exact opposite tone* of everything s1-13 did for equivalent story beats and moments. Truly as if they dipped an early season episode into a vat of Opposite Sauce. Weirdly fascinating.

Couldn't cope with the vintage 2013 unpleasantness of early #InkMaster so we skipped ahead to episode one of season fourteen and the change in tone is unsurprising but still pretty remarkable.
I guess it is kinda nice that over the years someone realized viewers would rather see more positive feedback from the judges and would prefer watching competitors act mostly supportive of each other to the sour little moments of sniping and skullduggery of the first three seasons
