Just in case anyone else is using Pond5 as a creator in an attempt to be able to license their content....

Maybe check back on that. It seems at some point they started requiring opt-out to keep your data from being available for AI training.

While it is possible, the opt-out nature means I'm done with Pond5. Check your settings!

And, of course, its in 6px typeface. Grr.

Hey! People might, maybe read your stuff if published in a font size that doesn't require additional-zoom on a HiDPI display. Push that font size clear up to 26px! Then try 36px. Pixels don't cost you money, but they CAN cost you readership.

This is #sad and #infuriating.

75 people at a private party in #Indonesia were arrested, it was accused by the authorities of being a "#gay party".

Shit like this is literally what triggered the #Stonewall riots in the #USA.

I don't know the sexual orientation of the partygoers, but it shouldn’t matter: This form of state bullying is wrong either way.

Headline: “U.S. Education Department denies federal aid for Kentucky schools”

“One of the projects denied was in Jefferson County; $340,347.96 was originally earmarked to support students experiencing houselessness”.

Jefferson County is Louisville, the largest city in the state. Fuck them homeless kids, I guess.

I love reading Books. I love reading physical books, you know the ones that you hold in your hand. I love Foliate, which I have encountered on one of my Open Source operating system distributions.

Since I love reading physical books it was normal and natural for me that Foliate had a regular light theme because paper is white to light yellow.

The light theme was chosen even though my desktop had a dark team, also logical.

Now I was fortunate enough to get a free set of fantastic books which are accessible through a DRM walled system by Amazon. Their closed Source clients did the following infuriating thing.

When it started it up, kindle gave a brief warning that it was going to change something which turned out to be the theme which it brought to dark, and I have not found the easily accessible option to change it back to the light theme.

How Bad a programmer must you be, to change something as important as a theme in a ebook reader and not put easily accessible option to change it back.

I know what I'll do; I'm going to strip the DRM of the books, so that I can read them in my normally programmed Open Source eBook reader, which doesn't change the theme at all, especially not for no apparent logical reason

Grrr
