Well, Mastodon folks. I haven't been posting much.
So an update:
1. Work is busy. Have just taken up a secondment to coordinate clinical psychology at the hospital for 3 months, while still doing the #InfantMentalHealth coordinator gig. Like I said, busy.
2. Term 1 of #pottery is done. Glazed pots are in the kiln. Will soon find out if they're wonderful or woeful
3. #WAIMH is coming up, and I have papers to write.
4. I'm still dodging COVID, but am so tired
5. Loving #StarTrekPicard
You?

Howdy Mastodon peeps.
An etiquette question for you.
I’m giving some training in Infant Mental Health next week, and I usually tweet the other speakers.
Is that a “thing” on mastodon?
Realise I may be talking into the abyss....

Lovely write up of a very clever study of speech development and infant parent interactions.
Parents talk more to infants who initiate the conversation. Babies lead. Watching and responding to their cues is critical for development.

Parents talk more to babies if the babies talk back

A new study has found that parents chat more to infants who chat to them first - but they don't find a gender bias in babies learning to talk.
