Better late than never? This past Winter Solstice (21 December 2024) was mostly sunny in North Texas. Did a time-lapse showing the motion of the Sun on the #IndoorSundial. #WinterSolstice #sundial
A view of the #IndoorSundial. Today is the #vernalEquinox . I'm not taking a time-lapse today which is a bit of a shame since it is sunny today.
The Sun is directly south of me. #IndoorSundial #sundial

Sunlight partially strikes the gnomon for the #indoorsundial. A half-moon shaped reflection can be seen on the crown moulding . I imagine tomorrow the #indoorsundial will be completely active.

This afternoon, one can see that the eaves are still shading the sundial gnomon throughout most of the day. Just a few more days, and the #indoorsundial will be back in business.

This morning, the Sun, just barely south of East was shining a bit of light on the sundial gnomon. The reflection on the wall was faint. #sundial #indoorsundial #autumnalequinox
In about 10 days or so, the sunlight that is currently seen on the external window sill will have moved enough to strike the gnomon (mirror) for the sundial.
