Finally repotted the two sorely potbound and overgrown asparagus ferns after splitting them into 6 pieces. Lots of asparagus ferns now! Also potted two of the Monstera clippings into the hanging pots that the asparagus ferns were in. I'm going to try to train them as hanging vines. That stupid thing is so prolific - the main pot, which I'm abandoning because it's just so out of control even after I've lopped it into a dozen plants, will get a Meyer Lemon in that pot.

I gave up on the two mandarin seed citrus that I planted, while the trees were a little nice after five years they never bloomed, so I'm just going to bite the bullet and get a real, fertile citrus. This after my one Navel finally died due to spider mite infestation - I had that almost 17 years and it was a beast to move in and out of the house every year

Tom the Tomato must have heard me say that I was just waiting for him to be done producing tomatoes, and I was going to pull him out of the #AeroGarden and move Dave over to give him more space. Tom started popping out a bunch of new little tomatoes, even though I never saw the flowers open up to fertilize them. Either he heard me, harvesting the existing tomatoes has allowed him to start producing more.

Jerry's doing great. Lots of peppers growing. He's dropping some blossoms (even one that had started growing a pepper), but I've read that's normal because a plant can only support so many peppers at one time. I'm considering getting another indoor garden system so I can grow a second pepper plant and harvest peppers year round.

I need to find out if there are low growing plants that prefer some shade that I can grow in the pods around Jerry. Seems a shame to only grow three plants when there are so many open pods.

These pots are too heavy to bring inside every night, but I'm not ready to harvest yet. Especially considering they did so poorly with last year's drought that I overwintered them (they barely stayed out of dormancy considering how dry it is indoors in winter) - and again they did poorly this midsummer with the extreme dry heat.

So every night I bring them in (ginger has to weigh 100#), every morning when it warms I put them back out.
