The year is 1995 and #Britpop is in overdrive (and I’m at colouring-in college studying #GraphicDesign). These two posters adorned my wall.

The #Supergrass ‘I Should Coco’ poster came via a friend, who charmed a member of staff at our local HMV and liberated a stack of Supergrass posters as they were taking down a window display — then kindly passed one my way.

The #Pulp ‘Disco 2000’ poster is limited edition. The single came with a postcard you could send off to get the poster (and if I recall correctly, some other promo goodies too).

They’ve been in a cardboard tube for the best part of 30 years — now freshly framed they’ve been liberated by 16 year old son for his bedroom wall.

Although I'm not adverse to a well written pop song, being at uni (as I was) in the early 90s, makes me feel very privileged to have experienced this wave (& the Britpop phenomenon that followed)

A new photography book captures the ramshackle squats and grimy venues that were a playground for confrontationally uncommercial early-90s bands like My Bloody Valentine, Stereolab and Silverfish

#NowPlaying 505 by Arctic Monkeys… we have tickets to see them play at Arsenal’s stadium this summer which is quite the contrast to my memories of dancing to them with my mates in sweaty indie discos in Camden! The drum beat on this track never fails to get me moving #IndieKid #PlayItLoud

Still thinking about the 'old internet' and dug up my 1990s #GeoCities site on David Devant & his Spirit Wife from the Internet Archive.

Anyone else here going to see them on Friday in London? Funny to think it'll be back to the 1st place I saw them, back in '95 or so.
