Planning IndieConnector 3 - Maurice Renck

It may not seem logical at first to announce work on a new major release when a course and a sync plugin are also awaiting completion, but I've given it some thought.

This release of the IndieConnector improves response collection from Mastodon and Bluesky. Hosts and users can be blocked directly in the panel. It also makes locating configuration issues easier:

I am thinking about some sort of virtual page for sharing my content 🤔 The main reason is, I'd like better handling of my multilang content.

In #IndieConnector I can set a language to use for sharing, but currently not remove the lang-code completely. If I would remove it, the preview would always be in German (my default language).

That virtual page could always use the english preview and then use the #kirby lang detection to redirect.

There is a small new update for the #indieConnector plugin. It fixes tags on Bluesky, and more importantly, it now allows alt-tags for images when posting to Mastodon or Bluesky.

- Posting to Mastodon/Bluesky via Panel-Button + Dialog
- Sending Webmentions via Panel-Button
- Improvements for the new Dark mode
- Options for manually sending Webmentions and Posts.

In this guide, we will develop a Raycast plugin that allows us to create a note that will be published not only on our page, but also syndicated to Mastodon and/or Bluesky.

This is how the new response collector looks in the panel view, I also enabled the Webmention Queue so you can see the results:

There is a new big #IndieConnector release available 🥳

When you post to Mastodon or Bluesky, you can now also collect all the responses and show them on your page.

You can disable that a link is attached to your posts, that way you …

v2.8.0 - Maurice Renck

This new release has grown unexpectedly large and primarily delivers changes for posting to Mastodon and Bluesky, as well as collecting responses from both.

I am working on the last fixes for the next #IndieConnector release introducing response collection from Mastodon and Bluesky. And that one unit test keeps failing …

The dates looked equal until I spotted that little !@%$ invisible character … grrrrrrr …
