It wasn’t until the mid90s that a single surviving print was located in France. It’s this print that was later digitally remastered with the French subtitles translated back into English which deepened the language barriers associated with the film

The cast was then given 10 days to learn their lines phonetically without the help of any experts in the Esperanto language which led to the film’s often stilted performances and shitastic Esperanto pronunciation
