Why is it 2026 and people who should know better are still releasing (federated!) social media functionality without including, conversing, or considering marginalised and abused people?

And if your default is "they can opt out", just stop altogether.

I genuinely thought the fediverse was a new slate to avoid repeating the mistakes of mainstream social media, but its still straight and/or white and/or men assuming they know all the answers.
