Two types of whistle blows indicate different spottings.
- Blowing whistles in short bursts alerts people that agents are in the area.
- Blowing whistles in a long blast alerts people that agents are detaining someone.
In response to the whistles, bystanders can either move to safety or, to help spread awareness of agents in the area, head toward the sound and form a crowd."

Excerpt: "Federal prosecutors have filed a new indictment in response to a July 4 noise demonstration outside the #PrairielandICE #DetentionFacility in #AlvaradoTX, during which a police officer was shot.
"There are numerous problems with the indictment, but perhaps the most glaring is its inclusion of charges against a Dallas #artist who wasn’t even at the protest. Daniel 'Des' Sanchez is accused of transporting a box that contained '#Antifa materials' after the incident, supposedly to conceal evidence against his wife, Maricela Rueda, who was there.
"But the boxed materials aren’t Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, or whatever #MAGA officials claim 'Antifa' uses to wage its imaginary war on America. As prosecutors laid out in the July criminal complaint that led to the indictment, they were zines and pamphlets. Some contain controversial ideas — one was titled '#InsurrectionaryAnarchy' — but they’re fully constitutionally protected free speech. The case demonstrates the administration’s intensifying efforts to criminalize left-wing #activists after Donald Trump announced in September that he was designating 'Antifa' as a 'major terrorist organization' — a legal designation that doesn’t exist for domestic groups — following the killing of Charlie Kirk.
"Sanchez was first indicted in October on charges of 'corruptly concealing a document or record' as a standalone case, but the new indictment merges his charges with those against the other defendants, likely in hopes of burying the First Amendment problems with the case against him under prosecutors’ claims about the alleged shooting.
"It’s an escalation of a familiar tactic. In 2023, Georgia prosecutors listed #ZineDistribution as part of the #conspiracy charges against 61 #StopCopCity protesters in a sprawling #RICO indictment that didn’t bother to explain how each individual defendant was involved in any actual crime. I wrote back then about my concern that this wasn’t just sloppy overreach, but also a blueprint for censorship. Those fears have now been validated by Sanchez’s prosecution solely for possessing similar literature."

"There is a limit to the political effectiveness of #RichMen who have servants telling regular people that their lives cannot be better. We may have reached that limit. The threat of the rich is that they will flee the city. The flaw in their leverage is that almost nobody likes them anyhow.
"Zohran’s campaign was distinguished by its determination to treat voters as adults. When accused of 'defunding the police,' Mamdani took the time to explain that he wants to create a department of mental health experts and social workers to take work off the NYPD’s plate. When accused of #antisemitism, he took the time to forthrightly distinguish that smear from valid criticism of the massacre in #Gaza. He was, often, more adult than the political press covering him, which is trained to treat dishonest attack lines as sporting challenges rather than as things to be dismissed. The youngest candidate in this race acted with the most maturity. The oldest, #AndrewCuomo, ran with the traditional playbook of treating voters like ignorant children — and failed.
"Old people with old ideas do not stay in power forever. Old lies and old tricks do not work forever. Time moves slowly — excruciatingly slowly, if you are always paying attention — but it does sweep away the old husks and bring new things, eventually. #Socialists want more people to have decent lives. Zohran Mamdani is proof that that message cannot be mischaracterized forever and ever. We will look back on this primary win as the start of something new. If America is going to have one lone opposition party to #fascism, that party does not have to suck. The establishment is too deeply rooted to move. So we will run them over."

Out of the various comments, criticism and praise heaped upon the Hillbilly Elegy author and onetime '#NeverTrumper' was the assessment of #DarrellScott, pastor of a Cleveland Heights, Ohio, church ministry and one of Trump’s former spiritual advisors.
" 'JD Vance is not only the pick for today, but also for the future,' Scott proclaimed. 'He will be the presumptive nominee for President in 2028, and will keep the #MAGA movement going, retaining Trump as an advisor/consigleri [sic]. Rubio, Haley, Burgum, Carson, etc wouldn’t.'
"Scott’s emphasis on MAGA’s future vitality caught my eye as a prime example of a phenomenon I call trad futurism, with the Trump campaign’s selection of Vance serving as part of a world-building project aimed at creating a future for the United States that is not founded on the principles of democracy and freedom but rather on #Identitarian politics and the policing of people and bodies that don’t conform to so-called #TraditionalValues.
Trad futurism is a moral project that unites ideologically disparate #RightWing groups to craft a world in opposition to secular progressive democracy.
"What is trad futurism? Trad is shorthand for #traditionalist / #traditionalism. Recently, there has been broad discussion of far-right groups like 'trad wives' on TikTok or '#RadTrad' young Catholics. Trad futurism is part of that conversation, but it’s not just about a return to the simple life or a Latin Mass. Rather it’s a moral project that unites ideologically disparate right-wing groups to craft a world in opposition to secular progressive #democracy.
"Right-wing writer #RodDreher’s 2017 book #TheBenedictOption, which urged Christians to withdraw from a corrupted world into cloistered purist communities of the faithful, is one type of trad future: small and local. But some trad futurist projects are far more expansive, aimed at creating a '#moral' future for America, in which laws and social policies reflect the 'traditional values' of conservative Christianity. Throughout the United States, various groups of traditionalists are doing their part to build that world.
"#ChristianNationalists position their values as American values. Institutions, including the massive #Heritage Foundation and countless otherconservative lobbying groups, are courting right-wing leaders and crafting manifestos for their ideal vision of the country’s future."
