Three good things on a Saturday:

-- we've been purging our bookshelves this week. If you've seen them, you know what an undertaking that is. So far we have four boxes to recycle and at least seven more to donate somewhere, with more to add. Partner would rather wallow in poison ivy than cull books, so this is a Very Big Deal;
-- During the Polar Vortex when nighttime temps were at their most frigid, the power went out in the greenhouse and some of our prettiest flowers took a severe hit. We thought they were done, but there are new signs of life in all of them. 🙏
-- another snowstorm coming our way. We've already made more bread and brought in more firewood. Lord knows we have plenty to read. 😆
