Gevatter Immanuel Kant schrieb dazu schon vor über 200 Jahren:

"Gedanken ohne Inhalte sind leer, Anschauungen ohne Begriffe sind blind."

D.h. wir brauchen Begriffe um etwas erkennen zu können.

Wenn ich an dieses Kant'sche Zitat denke, fällt mir meist auch eine Reformulierung durch Ulrich Pothast ein: "Sprechen ohne spürende Stützung ist leer, spüren ohne Artikulation ist blind".
