@tapasinthesun I just did a search of some of my past #Ikonta images, and you're right. This may be the poor relation, but when I take due care, it's pretty nice.

Holz ist der neue Baustoff jetzt auch für Hochhäuser in Wien. Das kommt immer mehr vor. Hier z.B. in der Seestadt.

So my #Ikonta case has been rebuilt. Not perfect but functional and looks really nice. Good result from #FolderWeek !
... "So could you do it for me, please?". He's completely stripping it down, replacing the strap, making a new top piece, re-building and re-lining it. "This was a quality case, hand-sewn. Not worth doing if you don't do it properly." He showed me some work he's currently doing for Aston Martin, and it was fabulous. I know this is way OTT, but it was my father's camera, so what the heck. He has the #Ikonta to make sure it fits properly! Just need to make sure Mrs R never finds out how much!

@chadhill.bsky.social You do get around!

My father was in Palestine during the war. My older brother remembers a trip they made to Jordan (Trans Jordan then, I think). When they crossed the bridge from Palestine, their military escort peeled off. They were there to defend them from terrorists. Not muslim terrorists...!

Of course they went to Petra, and my father took 6x9 #Dufaycolor slides with his #Ikonta; I have scanned the slides, sadly mostly out of focus!

Like my previous post, this photo was taken with an #Ikonta 520/15 directly onto photo paper (format 65x90mm) late at night.

This photo was taken with an aperture time of approximately 2 minutes.

The photo was developed with #caffenol.
The change from negative to positive was done on a computer.
The contrast and brightness of this image have been adjusted to compensate for underexposure.

Photo taken with an #Ikonta 520/15 directly onto photo paper (format 65x90mm) mid-afternoon last month.
This camera uses 616 film, which has long been discontinued.

The Ikonta 520/15 is equipped with a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens and a Compur shutter which are quite good for their age.
