Holly Cook for Ada County Comm...
😬
Thankfully I pass as my assigned gender. I've intentionally done little to change that, and my genderfluidity makes that possible for me, as does the acceptance of "tomboys" in farming towns. I've had no trouble passing as a tough woman in pants who likes her hair short.
I'm still not up to causing good trouble. But my county way up here is ripe to be challenged on this. People hold values here who wouldn't much like the TORT LAW and RED TAPE angle that REGULATES SMALL BUSINESSES over FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. This is solid NANNY STATE nonsense INVADING our LOCAL community.
(So much of the fash stuff actually goes against the language and values of the strain of conservatism that is popular in places like this. But I've got to stay on the DL. My mental health isn't up to a fight. That said, if anyone gave me guff, I could not help but lay into them. And I'd play up my femaleness without hesitation. You bitches will PROTECT ME, a poor damsel, over these TYRANTS from the GOVERNMENT.)

1. Terrible news for trans people in Idaho. The state's House just passed one of the first private business bathroom bans in the United States. It allows you to sue any private business that lets trans people pee if you think they're in the wrong bathroom. I ought to write a self-help book.
"The End of the World and How It Affects ME"
...only, and here's the twist—it really is just all about me. None of my readers will be helped in the least by it.
