this blog entry convinced to give eMusic a try. for only 14 bucks a month (or 9.99 a month if you commit to a year), unlimited downloads, 192 VBR files encoded in LAME, you can’t go wrong. for the more mainstream stuff, i’ll still use the iTunes music store, but eMusic has a lot more obscure stuff i can’t find on iTunes music store (yet). i’ll report back once i have used it for a week or so. while we’re on the subject, here’s some of my most listened albums/songs of the week: […]

Made a mistake of trying to buy an album on my iphone's "itunes store". It doesn't error out upon download like Music on macos, but sadly can't get to the M4As. Music on macos boldly claims "purchased" but that's as much as it allows me to do :)
