My evening “required reading for the ears”:
please tell me i am not the only one who knows that 😄
Other people fall asleep to rain sounds, meditation, or cozy audiobooks.
I listen to BOfH and call it IT self-care.
Somewhere between Unix basement therapy and advanced user tolerance training. XD

01000110 Feierabend!
Addendum:
User is temporarily remote. User had someone reboot their machine since they left.
BIOS updates are not /yet/ automatic for us.
I have no idea what triggered this.
Me: -reboots a user’s machine in a last-ditch hope-
Machine: BIOS Update
Me: “Well I didn’t trigger that, so if this works, I don’t know what fixed it…”
You know it’s bad when…
someone asks “when did this start?” and no one knows.
4 or 5 days of troubleshooting, poking at Active Directory and the printer backend to learn the user was inserting their card upside down.
You know it’s bad when…
the logs don’t agree with each other.
You know it’s bad when…
the incident bridge suddenly gets very quiet.
