One of my skills (I like to think 😊) is reducing an explanation to the absolute simplest form, the most obvious and easiest-to-understand description.
Obviously I can't do this for everything, but for straightforward stuff I’m always looking at or listening to other people's approaches and thinking, “There's an easier way to do that…”
I’m now looking at everything through that ADHD lens, and now I'm wondering if there's an itch in my head, a distraction thing, when I'm looking at an explanation that has unnecessary detail. *I* get derailed by it, and I imagine it serves as confusing noise for a student new to the topic.
Any thoughts?
