(1:51:24) We've had a bit of uh broken capability in establishing a SARSAT or satellite phone communications capability between the crew on board integrity and uh the recovery team that will get sorted out here shortly. There's plenty of cooling on board integrity, so there's no rush to begin the power down to call you on the satphone and uh not getting an answer there either.
(1:51:55) Concur. We haven't had anything come through. and Houston, if you could relay to recovery that we hear them, but it does not. But it does not appear as so they are hearing us. Houston copies and read just to confirm you are pushing the PTT on the radio. So, as we continue to sort out the communications between Integrity and the recovery teams, uh we are standing by for the initiation of the power down

The whole Artemis II mission gave me, as they dubbed it, #MoonJoy, but this moment after they splashed down and were still inside the capsule gave me IT Manager Joy:
"The phone doesn't work. We can hear them, but they can't hear us."
"OK. Are you pushing the talk button when you talk?"
"Yes. We are pushing the talk button when we talk. I'm going to restart and see if that fixes it."
Guess I need a new #introduction since I had to move from med-mastodon. I have been an IT Manager for most of my adult life and went back to college as an older student to earn my degree in #PublicHealth and #Psychology (Summa Cum Laude... who knew?).
I have volunteered at Covid vaccine clinics and for the National Park Service. I had often worked in negative-pressure rooms, treating covid patients.
I used to work as a #CNA, #OfficeManager at a PCP, and #ITManager (weird combo, I know), and am now in #PAschool.

As an IT Manager, sometimes the issue when I'm trying to help someone with an IT problem is that they don't know how to describe the problem in a meaningful way, or they don't understand what I mean when I ask them about the problem or explain how to fix it.
In those cases, it's on me to try to find a middle ground, a shared language we can use so that each of us can understand the problem from the other side. It can be challenging, but I work hard to try to communicate plainly, clearly, and patiently.
Other times, they just don't listen to a word I say, and then I wonder why I even bother to try.
