Tried to capture an #ISSsolartransit with a scope and a smartphone (so, no multiple shutters, no fine ISO adjustment, focus by guess...). Snapped three shots in the forecasted time of transit. Just the first, when the silhouette of #ISS appears on the border of the #sun, shows something. As first attempt, to me is a big win!

4 years ago today I photographed my first #InternationalSpaceStation #SolarTransit! #WillamOptics 70mm refractor fitted with a #ThousandOaks glass solar filter + #ASI120MC camera. The transits take less than a second so you need a fast frame rate to capture it. This is a stack of the 31 frames that contained the #ISS #ISSSolarTransit #ISSTransit
