the new opnsense big gun router fw appliance is 6k - room for white box builder is there to design alternatives but overall their effort looks rock solid - lots of forethough and a device that just works plus good documentation and tiered support. they even have extra storage so you can use these devices as samba shares/mini nas which is a nice feature #bsd #opnsense #pfsense #ipcop #tdpdump #tcp replay

So, zufällig noch ein alten PC aus dem Keller gefischt. Ein HP Rechner mit einem Pentium I 133MHz und
Installiert hatte ich vor zig jahren #IPCop und die v1.3.0 bootet noch...

Erstaunlich: Datum und Uhrzeit stimmt noch. Also die Batterie ist noch voll.

Festplatte brauchte zwar mehrere Anläufe hoch zu fahren und hört sich sehr kratzig/metallisch an, aber funktioniert noch...

Mit 48MB sollte doch auch da ein aktuelles Debian laufen, wa?
