Sunday early March 2026: 1000 km roadtrip with the EV9, consumption 26 kWh/100 km, passengers 6 (500km) 3 (500km), lot of tailwind! Temp up to 19 degrees nearby Heidelberg mid-afternoon! Ladestau spotted at several #IONITY stations (5 minute wait at one of them). Next to the ladestau there was an EnBW site with more plugs free than the IONITY site has in total, draw your own conclusions :D Would I do it again? Yes I loved the #EV9 #rentelectric experience, bigger than my dad's EV, so it can fit the full family (6 humans). Sluggish software might be the biggest downside of this vehicle, or the tiny frunk (especially with the received AWD version!) But Tempomat up to 180km/h -> no Chinese EV I tested came this far :> Lovely day for a drive too with sun all day. When using Waze (CarPlay) there is no battery heating so for some moments I switched to Kia navi but that is something you will regret not even "IONITY Nahetal" worked to get us to the actual site. Tried one #adhocmap tip in the nearby of Heidelberg, if you value your romantic relationship, don't take the advice of that map as golden pin, especially not on Sundays! No toilets nothing but yes € 0,49/kWh with instant Apple Pay was "sweet". 8:30AM departure from Scuol 22:00 arrival nearby Amsterdam Traffic jams, baby pit stop, Ladestau, a bit of everything. Real life. All fast charging (NL, DE, AT) both on the way to Switzerland and on the way home, was cheaper than AC charging in Scuol itself. Thanks to two subscriptions: Fastned which my dad has had for years, and IONITY which was a bit of a pain to go through, more on that later this week. See you at a fast charger soon! #alwaysbecharging
