I was a super happy kid, definitely lived up to my name! As an adult, I've been channeling that childhood happiness and spreading it in my art, with a mission to spark JOY!
What is a favorite happy childhood memory of yours?

@eniko Mastodon is pretty much the internet before being simplified to the brim. My main advices would be to
And if you can repell your fear of reading walls of text and give way to your curiousity I'll explain it below:
You might have ended up on bluesky because it was an easy way there. Went to bsky.app, chose yourusername.bsky.social and went done with it. Here the things are slightly different; yes, you can absolutely download Mastodon, sign up on mastodon.social and call it a day. But here, some things are more different.
I advise you something: pick either this or this link, then visit any of the listed websites (if you go to the first link press the site name again in the page that opens afterward, if you go to the latter, press the blue "visit server" button). Now you're on a random Mastodon server landing page. Scroll through the popular posts on that server you're, on or click on the live feeds link in the side menu (if you're on a web browser you may need to click the three-line menu at the bottom to display it). Do you like what you see? Would you like to have a digital home like that? If yes, why not create an account there? (You can return to any of the aforementioned links to check other servers as well, until you find one you like more, but do not think too much about where you like to be more. Just about any server will do).
After you create an account and log in there, my first advice would be to follow some of the more popular accounts, listed here or here, or even here if you want to fill your feed with news. This will give you a head start for your feed. In addition, you can just follow hashtags to get relevant content and follow more people that you might like this way.
Ready to post something? Why not start with an #intro/#introduction too. Put one of these two hashtags in your first post and tell the people something about you. You might even gain your first followeres this way (that is, if you're not there to lurk instead, which is totally fine too). Then make sure to use hashtags too for an easier reach. We'd love to see what you're up to. 🙂
An important thing to mention is that, as anyone who's got the knowledge can run a Mastodon server (including you - if you have the knowledge ofc), there must be a way to display where the account is. This is done by adding the server address next to the name, like you see in my case: @petrescatraian. It kinda looks like email, but with a second "@" in the front, so you can at them properly if you know what I mean. 😉
You don't have to be on every single server out there, again. Just use the current one and do not think about it too much. The server part from the handle is the only thing you need to make sure about when following someone remotely.
And as instances are run by people, people might run into disagreements: mainly politics, but not only. This is why servers sometimes sever links to other servers (we call it defederation out here). If you happen to be on a server that has been defederated by another one where your contact might be, you can just migrate to that other one too (or ask them to come over). There are extensive guides on how to do it, so I won't get into detail. Be curious enough to find them. 🙂
Last but not least, is microblogging what you're looking for? Would you like to post pictures or walls of text like mine with crazy formatting instead but you are afraid you cannot follow anyone else if you're not on Mastodon? Rest assured. Mastodon is just one project that uses a standard called ActivityPub to communicate with others. There are plenty of other ActivityPub based projects with different use cases - all also spread on multiple servers.
In fact, I am not even on Mastodon at all, but on Friendica, which is mostly a Facebook alternative on steroids: you have your usual friends, and groups that you can create or follow, pages, events that you can join or create; but you can also format your posts like you would do on a blog, you have a calendar to keep track of all your events, and you can customize your profile to stand out, a la MySpace. You can preview your post to check if you haven't done any mistakes before leaving it out to the world. You can add inline media like photos, video or audio, just like on any article - and you can do it in your posts, comments, even on your profile. You also have a dislike button which Zuck never bothered to add. And most importantly, if you find your Mastodon feed too empty, it will surely not be empty here: you can follow RSS feeds, Tumblr accounts, Diaspora accounts (yes, that still exists and some people are still active out there), even Bluesky accounts.
Plus there are also alternatives for Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, even Goodreads and there's even an alternative to Strava.
Your curiosity to discover these is the only limit and if you've reached reading all the way here I'm sure you'll find them. And don't be shy to ask. People are willing to help out here if they know how to do it.

Hiya! I am thrilled to be here on pagan.plus! I have been on the fediverse for a bit, and I have several alts I use actively.
My connection to the spiritual world is fairly new to me. I was a being ruled by logic and skepticism until December 2025, when I found inner peace. My entire view of everything changed and I began to observe magic in the world. ✌️
I am still figuring a few things out, and have a lifelong intention to remain open to new information. I am growing and learning here in SLC, UT, as a member of The Divine Assembly, colloquially known as Mushroom Church. I have faith in the healing powers of plant medicine, and I believe that our greatest medicine is each other. 🫂
My Daddy gave me the gift of plant medicine before he passed. All these years later, I am expanding that understanding. I waited until months after my awakening in December to journey with mushrooms for the first time. That journey was such a beautiful gift from The Universe, and I feel so blessed for the experience. I believe microdosing over several years prior to that led me to my moment of awakening. 🍄
I am learning to use my gifts, and how to share them with others. I see that I am a mirror to others. I first observed this clearly through gendered conversations as I transitioned circa 2015. Now I understand that others see many things in my mirror, from neurodivergence (autism, ADHD, plural) to health (brain surgery, TBI, EDS, CPTSD, decades of medical obstacles) and so much more. 🪞
I understand that I can take the opportunity of sharing energy to allow The Universe to guide others to their healing path, if they choose. I have been teaching myself how I want to offer a 1:1 experience of "sharing your dreams with a unicorn" at community events. There is also an option to "share a nightmare". I explain things in terms of consent, and convey that the imagination of a unicorn can manifest dreams or nightmares. I have found that deliberately holding space creates a container which prevents nightmares from manifesting. 🦄
I am new to understand energy work, and there is much I don't know. Most of the people I know who do this energy work seem to be vibrating in reactivity to external forces, and I find that very confusing and disorienting.
I have a daily practice of morning journaling followed by a 3 card tarot reading, for Mind, Body, and Spirit. I was so shocked when I finally connected with the cards and understood they belong in my life. Since then, I've come to understand that almost every spiritual practice holds divine truth, if you know how to look at it just right. Some hold far more than others, though. 🌈
In the mundane world, I am a 48 yo grandfather & Mom, medically retired software engineer, nomad, and sometimes poet, with Utah as my home base as I recreate my life having accepted my disability. 💜
AKA @unicorn, @Spectrum, and @Lucaas.
Thank you for having me! 🥰
