Eleventh (?) LP from Kottke, a solo outing instrumental style. Recorded at Sound 80 in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Includes a cover of Ry Cooder’s Available Space” as well as “Tumbling Tumbleweeds” and eight originals.

My copy—via Salem Flea Marketplace—is a Santa Maria pressing on blue Chrysalis labels.

Knapp drei Jahre nach Lost in Variations sind die Beatschmiede Lito Akari and F. Raheem mit einem neuen Album am Start. „Radio“ nennt sich das gute Stück, dass in zwei Teilen daherkommt: 99.9 und 99.8. Mit 10 voll schnaften Tracks je Seite wurde jeder Millimeter der Platte ordentlich bespielt.

Jazz, Funk und Hip Hop als Grundrezept der Produktion, die komplett ohne Samples durchgezogen wurde. On Top wurde das Ganze mit passenden Features von Dexter, Smoke Trees, Jasmin Albash und vielen Künstlern mehr garniert. Großartige Platte!
