@BrianJopek Dad had a stroke shortly before the 2020 election. Occasionally, despite COVID, I was able to visit him in the hospital. One day two nurses told me the same story:

A doctor was examining Dad and asked the usual questions--name, birthday, day of week--to assess his awareness. When the doctor asked who the President was, Dad said "I hope it's the other guy."

As it turned out, that was Dad's last witticism, and a good one!

@PM_Your_Nudes_Please @LemmyKnowsBest still its insane to me that the GOP would support this. They must be betting that they can beat Firsch on the western slope with a non-insane candidate and sell the stupid to people out east. But the fact they put that much value in her is mind-blowing to me. Ike McCorkle is about to get a lot more visible, and is one of the nicest candidates I've ever met. #ilikeike
