@dmian Pity they didn't hold up to their own standards as a tournament director at a recent OBX event allowed the event to continue without interruption after a venue manager decided to forcibly remove a trans woman from the restrooms.

The IFPA Womens Advisory Board recommended the OBX events lose their sanctioning, and the IFPA president has chosen to not listen.

Last night was the 1st anniversary of our monthly #WomensPinball tournament, #FemmeFlip, and to celebrate, I ate icing with a few crumbs of cake attached (I'm feeling stuffed up and glutenated today, but it was worth it)! 18 ladies of all ages and skill levels came out to play #pinball and gas each other up, and to wish one of our compadres #SaraLittle good luck as she competes at the #IFPA Women's Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana this weekend! GO #PEZ! Bring home the title for #YVR! 🙌

IFPA ranking formula changes!

Only 15 top placings count and you lose points if you are in the top rankings and playing lots of tournaments but not consistently placing well.

The IFPA Ranking System is Changing. Should you be Concerned, bro? — Nudge

IFPA Ranking changes are a changin’. The answer my friend is blowing in the wind (a fart).

Year end #IFPA #Pinball update: I played in six ranked tournaments in 2023 and earned a total of 1.78 points. You can clearly see here that I got a lot of points for placing near last in the big Silverball Rumble at Pintastic New England (almost one whole point!) so I'm going to set myself a challenge for 2024: play in at least three ranked tournaments at next year's Pintastic. That should help me greatly up my standing. (It would also help me a lot to place higher than 5th or 6th at some of the smaller events of course... we'll see how that goes.)
Tonight at 730pm at Good Co on Granville, It's #FemmeFlip, the #Vancouver monthly women's #IFPA #Pinball tournament. This is a super fun $10 entry #PinballTournament with lots of awesome ladies and some terrific pinball machines, so if you are a woman who loves to play (or wants to learn how), the #YVR community welcomes you!
I am currently ranked just over 20,000th in the #IFPA database of #pinball players world wide. This Tuesday I start participating in my first competitive league (the New England Pinball League season 28) so maybe that number will start moving in the coming weeks. I’m curious to see how this goes. https://www.ifpapinball.com/player.php?p=101336

Tonight was the 2nd ever monthly #YVR #FemmeFlip #WomensPinball tournament, made extra amazing by organizers Cynthia & Nicole and all the players who came out. I loved getting to play with so many rad ladies, and I finally got some long overdue #IFPA points up on the big board! The post-pandemic #pinball scene in #Vancouver seems to have been very welcoming to women & it couldn’t happen to a nicer hobby. Sickeningly skilled players tonight. And some of us curse a blue streak worse than the men.
The Sunday knockout #pinball tournament at Level 256 Arcade in #Asheville is always a good one. It happens every week and is #ifpa sanctioned. All skill levels are welcome to participate, and so are you!
