In july 2025, there was the #IETF meeting, the 123th, in Madrid. Before the meeting, there was the now traditional hackathon. I worked on the future protocol #RPP (RESTful Provisioning Protocol), which may be the successor of #EPP. https://www.bortzmeyer.org/hackathon-ietf-123.html
To conclude the wonderful Internet Engineering Task Force @ietf meeting #123 in Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸- we would love to thank you the #IETF leadership - Roman Danyliw, Mirjam Kühne, Gonzalo Camarillo, George Michaelson, Shauna Turner and especially, Jason Livingood, for memorializing our dear @mtaht at #IETF123!

Oh and to clarify (I guess I shouldn't try to squeeze too much into a single toot), the 4271bis work is not an @nlnetlabs initiative (credits to John and co. for that!), though I hope to contribute to it in any way we can.
#ietf123 oauth wg session Brian Campbell about SD-JWT VC
Some subtle jokes included ;-)
Some not so subtle
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-oauth-sd-jwt-vc-10
This specification describes data formats as well as validation and processing rules to express Verifiable Credentials with JSON payloads with and without selective disclosure based on the SD-JWT [I-D.ietf-oauth-selective-disclosure-jwt] format.
I’m on my way back from #IETF123 in Madrid.
Here is a quick summary:
· A seven day conference is pretty exhausting 😪
· Pretty excited about the long term future of #MLS. Not necessarily for interoperability but as a well tested building block
· Significantly less excited about MIMI
· We should specify #XMPP over WebTransports
· Bluesky seems to have some genuine interest in standardizing some of their low level, infrastructure technologies
· #JMAP community still doing new and exciting things
