Der preisgekrönte Dokumentarfilm begleitet den Aufstieg von Sinéad O’Connor zum Weltstar in den Jahren 1987 bis 1993 – und ihre Marginalisierung infolge ihrer politischen Haltung. Die irische Sängerin war Zeit ihres Lebens unbequem und unbeugsam. Selbst als Kind misshandelt, nahm sie den Kampf gegen sexuellen Missbrauch in der katholischen Kirche auf, als das Thema noch tabu war. Für viele Frauen war sie ein Vorbild. Ihre unvergleichliche Stimme hat sie zum Weltstar gemacht, ihr Einstehen gegen jegliches Unrecht machte sie zum Symbol für Stärke und Haltung. Sie starb am 26.7.2023 in London.
