MickyCulina's keynote impressively demonstrated how much work is left to do for information infrastructure orgs and funders to provide (and enable) infrastructure/UIs/communities/incentives/policies for processes around (study) registration/open data/open code. And to look at these processes form a global perspective. On OA publications and available funds for research she said: "An Open Access fee of 3,000⏠is much higher than my salary - and I'm a senior scientist in Croatia". #idcc2026
Antica Culina says that when she started research she thought that science was always clear, rigorous, methodological sound .... but then realized that in many studies methods are unclear, information was missing and values did not not match. She reached out to author's and the few who did respond often said "i don't know where my data is - so i can't go back to cross-check" #idcc2026
